We want to remind everyone that we need your help hosting IGLA 2013 this summer! For those of you who haven’t heard of IGLA, it’s an international swim meet that Seattle is hosting August 13-18.

We need volunteers for hosted housing, so if you’re interested, please email Aurelio at hostedhousing@igla2013.com and check out this site for more information: http://www.igla2013.com/hosted-housing-host-registration/

If you want to help out with any other part of IGLA planning, please let us know. Requests for housing are due by May 31.

This week we will be having our Friday night dinner at Kau Kau BBQ (656 S. King St., 98104).  Please join us after practice for some food and fun!

There will be no practice this Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.

The IGLA planning meeting will be at Meg’s house on Tuesday, May 28 at 7 p.m.

The next Orca board meeting is at Meg’s house on June 9 at 10 a.m.

Water Polo- If anyone is interested in playing water polo at IGLA 2013 please contact Leo, Kevin Zhai, or Kevin Brooks.

Join your hosts and fellow IGLA participants for a magical evening located on Pier 59 at the edge of Puget Sound’s Elliott Bay, guests will be able to enjoy some of the most extraordinary spaces in Seattle.

You will be able to enjoy the sunset over Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains on the back patio bar, explore the undersea world of the aquarium and be entertained in the Puget Sound Great Hall with the luminous Window on Washington Waters, complete with hundreds of fish – your personal interactive party decorations! Light appetizers and cash bars will be available for you.
